More inflammatory bullshit propaganda designed to rally people against some other bullshit propaganda.
"capitalism is the only system that can uphold and protect them [individual rights]" - someone never heard of any corporation EVER.

I'm not saying the other guys are any better, I am saying that anyone who claims to be the rally cry for freedom or rights has their own agenda at heart. It doesn't matter if "society" is groups of 10 or millions, as long as there are people involved there will eventually be corruption. That is just the way humans work, mostly trying to get along as long as basic needs are met, yet easily manipulated into an "us VS. them" situation by any charismatic individual. As long as there are people there will be unrest and war. Humans are just wired for destruction.

I'm gonna have to ask you to assume the ostrich position lest you offend the delicate sensibilities of any random earthling. Usually, around here if it's not wheeling related, it's looked down upon. Even more so if it's actually relevant to real life, or if it requires critical thinking.

Part 3 did materialize. In the mid-50s. Read the book. Much more valuable than the movies; not that I haven't enjoyed Parts 1 and 2 of the movies.

Oh and while I really do avoid this sort of thing, just two quick thoughts for 4GaugeSurprise,

A) A corporation is a private entity, no private entity can deprive an individual of their individual rights. Only government can do that.

B) Where was it that you experienced this Capitalism of which you have been witness? The United States is not, nor has ever been completely Capitalist. There's only ever been one nation on this earth that has operated under pure Capitalism and it flourished, dwarfing even the US per capita on every metric there is to measure prosperity. Sadly it's gone now. A Communist nation swallowed it whole a few years ago.

Joking aside, post apocalypse I expect to find plenty of time to delve into the printed word, and this will be at the top of my list when i raid the library.

this country has been close to pure capitalism but far from it now, corruption comes from the heart of man not the entities man creates, but this is not the way it has to be for man has a heart capable of so many better things. Just this group in itself is a small sampling of the common interest each of us have and the help we give each other.
