I wonder if this would actually be closer to me than TM. Actually I just checked it out. It is 72.1 miles to the Tucson start and 73.3 miles to the start of TM. Kind of right in the middle of both spots. What to do Very Happy

Flip a coin every Friday night... Can't lose either way!

If you want to wheel go to TM, if you want to sit around a campfire come down to Marana. There is really nowhere to wheel around there, at least anything that would require 4 wheel drive. The Tortolitas are mostly private land now so everything is blocked that would be any fun. All the state land around there is all desert flat lands or sandy washes.

Thanks Tim that will help me make up my mind when I do decide to go out. Very Happy I thought about the flipping a coin thing.

There's also driving across all of Phoenix vs. driving across the fairly open stretch down to Tucson. Although come to think of it they both kind of suck. Laughing

This is pretty cool for Tucson peeps. I'd come out if I didn't have soccer games Friday nights Sad You'll see me on the bye weekend!

Looks like we're in for crappy weather this Friday. It sucks sitting around a cold windy campfire, I guess we'll have to see how it plays out.

I'm heading out now. It's windy but the temperature is nice. Not sure if there will be a fire or not but I know a couple other people are heading out as well.

Wow... aren't you supposed to see a doctor if the wood lasts more than four hours let alone a whole day?

Good one!

I have changed my mind though and I am going to head out this afternoon. Might not stay real late but I'll be there if anyone else wants to show up.

Lately Fridays have been full. Look to be full until after the new year. I will get out there eventually, I promise.
