Any input on good offroad lights? I'm on a limited budget so I can not do a $1000 light bar. Just looking for a reliable offroad light.

Best bang for the buck are the Checker/Kragen/etc HID's.... 7" for $150ish. GoLights are pretty cool, but not for everybody and make probably 1/10 the light of an HID.

The HID's are CHEAP, but I haven't heard any long term reliability issues with them... the first rash of installing those things was about 2 years ago, still working for everybody as far as I know.

I've had my 7" HIDS for just over a year now and they are working great!

Checker HID's ARE the bomb s#it for the $$$.

Go Lights are great for functionality.

Lightforce has some reasonably priced BIG non HID's.

Hit up Homedad for the Go Lights or Lightforce.

Gonna throw in another vote for the Checker HIDs. One of mine broke, the plastic split near where the ballast housing meets the bulb and reflector. But with the amount of light they provide, a light for just over $100 is a great deal and I'm not really upset by the break.

Ditto Checker HID....get the 4"...smaller and the 7" are too much 99% of the time.
The 7" are HELLA bright, may work better on bumper than roof.
I have two 7" and two 4" on rooftop light bar, and the big ones put out stupid amounts of light, mostly down the road, but thier so frickin bright that everything lights up.
The 4" are a much wider and diffussed pattern, that speads the light out a bit.
Run these in the dust at night, on your roof, and you will see to the end of the hood at best!!!!!!!

I looked on Checker's website, it looks from the picture like ( 1 ) for $134. So do (2) lights come in the box?

Night Vision is way $$$$$$$. I tried checkers online, however, it keeps locking up on me. I'll have to check back later. My guess is that is per bulb, then add a relay, switch and wire.
