The 8th Annual "Duner" Memorial Border Run.

PARKING IS NOT AN ISSUE THIS YEAR so NO SIGN UP! Just come, have fun.
WHAT: This will be an entirely different route this year. We'll be hitting the western sections of the border. Basically: 3 or 4 trails, more pavement, and a pretty desolate section of the border "fence" near Ruby, AZ.

WHEN:
Camping starts Friday, August 4th, the Run will start at 09:00 on Saturday, August 5th, and some will choose to camp over Saturday night to Sunday the 6th. Movie night is Friday the 4th. I found my copy of "Hondo" which was filmed in the Santa Ritas.

Rally point will be at Campsite #5 (Which is the usual place),

I'm hoping Crazy John will be the camp host again so our stuff is safe.
Distance 175 Miles from the Camp round trip to the Camp. (Considerably fewer miles if you peel off in Nogales, AZ, where you can also refuel).

Well, there'll be no German Restaurant this year, but there are a TON of places in Nogales to eat.


THE END:
At the end of the run (Which is actually in Nogales) you can peel off and head up I19 to Tucson or Phoenix or wherever, or join us heading back up 82 to 83 and the camp.

What’s going on with the GX?

If it’s toast, word on the street is there’s a nice yellow FJ in the Prescott area. At least there was.

Possible gear issues. It's in the shop. Plus getting the e-locker working.

If it's a go. we'll plan on it. May have two or more trucks joining. Missed last year so hopefully we can make it this year.

GX is still in the shop. I might have to do tamer trails in my Silverado.

GX will be ready! Check the OP for relevant info. If someone can post it to the AZFJ Facebook, that would be great.

Trying to make it this year. Would you bring your nice truck on this route? I got a new GMC Canyon I might bring instead of the burb but it's the pretty rig.

If My GX is not ready, i'd absolutely take my Highcountry Silverado on this. I bet it's at least as pretty as your canyon!
