Hello AZFJ!

We will be running Regal Canyon on February 19th. This is a fairly easy trail with tons of beautiful views lurking just beyond the trees.
This is an all day run so please bring a lunch and plenty of water.
After the run we will stop in Globe for a bite to eat.

The itinerary for this run will soon follow! Looking forward to this awesome trail run!

Who's in??

They both sound fun, but I vote for #1. I don’t know if this would affect your side trip to Martinez cabin, but you cannot drive to them anymore. There is a gate and you have to walk a little ways.

That "Gauntlet" is where I crashed my Precious and had to get the whole thing repainted.

What a waste of time that turned out to be.

I heard about the gate at the cabin. If there's adequate time left in the day when we get to the cabin trailhead will determine whether we visit the cabin or not. Either way the Gauntlet is a fun day trip.
Either trail is a really good time.

Which was a waste of time? The trail or having to repaint the trailer?

Repainting the FJ,
Actually, the trail was thrilling until you get to the part near the river. Then it is a brutal washed-out tree tunnel that will scratch the F out of your FJ.

I'd put my vote in for the first choice. Hopefully we will be able to make it either way. Sounds like fun.

I’m a wuss…so I vote for regal canyon. Don’t need to be repainting my FJ.

Not sure I can even go. Depends on when the trip is.

Will be watching.

Thanks for organizing something! And…for doing it on the site. I don’t do the book of faces.

So, I take it you're voting for #1??

Pardon, but I don't know who Aaron is. I'm guessing that is a vote for #1 though. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry, yes, option 1, no cash for a new paint job these days.

I've got you down for option #1. I believe Jimbolio needed the paint job due to the damage to his FJ fom rolling his trailer. I've done the Gauntlet (option #2), and it isn't as gnarly a trail as you would think. It just has some fun obstacles throughout that will definitely keep you on your toes. I would not advise towing anything on that trail though.

Nope damage came from hitting the wall in the washed out portion by the river, nasty part there, but no trailer. Bent my hilift on the trees.
