Most of the savvy DIY people of the group know buying the correct parts is one of the most important steps in doing maintenance or repair work.

Sure there are systems that tell a person yeah this part fits that model/make/year.

What the systems or sites might NOT tell you is if the parts are genuine. Aftermarket parts are a way of life, but what about getting a deal on OEM parts?

An interesting video:

I usually look to purefjcruiser dot com
when I want to not pay dealer prices for OEM stuff. But there are other sources. I just bought an OEM timing belt kit for my Lexus on eBay.

Excellent information, thank you! I need to replace my cv/axles and was about to shop ebay, I'll look much more closely now!
Glad I saw this!
PS, anybody know a mechanic that knows what he's doing?
Thanks again!

My $85 ea from O'Riellys are holding up just fine.

They are up to $91 bucks now. <Click

Reach out to Glider - He taught me how to do mine.

My Toyota dealer parts guy (good friend too) told me to get Import Direct brand half shafts for a fraction of the Toyota cost, said shops he deals with speak highly of them. They were around $100 each if I remember correctly. They have taken about 60K miles of my abuse so far and still working as expected.

Glider can do the install (depending on his schedule and all that jazz).
