Im looking for a new insurance (auto and home) company to deal with.
After over 20 years at Country Company they have decided my 84' Yota pickup is a "heavily modified offroad only vehicle" and tripled the rates.
They come to this conclusion by browsing AZFJ posts! Beware what you post!!!!
The fact that the truck hasnt moved in my driveway for 14 years that they have been insuring it makes no differance.
And it doesnt have full coverage, so what would it matter what "accesories" have been installed?
At $120 a month seems a bit steep for an 84' Yota with 180,000 and no full coverage!
Any companys that have better than average service out there?

I've been trying to figure something out for the FJ... I'm paying out the ass to insure it right now which is incredibly silly. It's a complete wrecked, gutted mess that is rarely driven.
Isn't there some kind of low-mileage insurance or something?

I am being treated pretty well by the Hartford. I have all my vehicles insured together and get a decent multi-policy discount, but by spending about $15 to join AARP you will get another substantial discount. It's the only company that does the AARP thing. You only have to be 50 for AARP.

GIECO was awesome with claim. Great service, 1st accident protection and I'm paying the same for the new FJ without the add-on parts endorsement of course.
Just sayin

IF you are you're current or retired military or your immediate family is, USAA cant be beat. One stolen honda ('03), One very large stolen stereo('02), a minor fender bender ('99), and a wife that runs red lights (3 months ago). Still have the best rates/service........did raise my rate slightly when the wife ran the red light but nothing to gripe about.

Lets get your windshield done before you switch.
This is a perfect example of the insurance companies not doing you any favors.

Actually, my insurance beat them by a long shot, on both house and car. They did save some money for my parents.
I use:
www.calcas.com/
They have limited access, such as police, fire, teachers, nurses, etc. You'd have to contact them to find out who all they cover.

State Farm Ocassional use policy. I had my Jeep insured for 7k miles a year.

Contact Debbie Hafenscher @ 602-574-0937. She's with Tatum Insurance and has access to a lot of different Insurance Carriers. She deals with Auto, Specialty Auto, Home, Life, Commercial, etc.
She knocked it out of the park with my insurance, got me properly covered, was able to increase both my home and auto coverage's, and saved me money!
Mention AZFJ!

State farm voter here. Been with them forever (as has my family going back at least two generations.)
It doesn't hurt that they don't screw customers on windshield replacement (some hard push for their glass guy, inspections to approve. ..)

I use an insurance agent, doesn't cost anything extra and she re-evaluates my coverage\providers every year. Takes care of the paperwork and everything. If there is a better deal from a different company she will switch everything over for you.
