Im a little underwhelmed. It’s nice. But I’m not giving up my FJ for one.
And another thing: where does this leave the 4runner? This thing looks like what I was expecting the next 4runner to look. Don’t need two SUVs doing the same job.
And lastly…no tailgate. They probably would have got me hooked if it had a tailgate.

It does indeed look 4Runnery but I'll keep watching the info as more and more comes out. Heard there should be a hybrid version in the next couple years I think. Sliding back side windows like my old FJ80 would have been a nice add along with the tail gate/lift gate combo for sure.

Ah, yeah, just watched another video and the hybrid is the deal out of the gates. I shall correct myself before you cats do!

what was interesting is the Lexus variant was announced first and that version gets a twin turbo v6.

There are definitely some fancier bling items on the Lexus, as expected, and perhaps all those along with the bigger engine drive the price up and from some of what I read Toyota is trying to keep the Land Cruiser variant actually in a decent price range. Gotta be more than that, just taking a stab at a poss reason.
