so many threads .. so little time. has tech changed? has the gear in the back of your rig changed?

it is perhaps that time of the year when a significant other is asking "hey what can I get you for <insert holiday here>?"

recovery gear might make the list

I was looking into some kinetic recovery rope.. any suggestions?

I've heard good things about bubba ropes.
As for shackle, why are you looking at soft shackles?
The hitch receiver looks cool, I would replace the pin if you're going to do any snatching. Id be concerned with any angular pulling too.

soft shackles for storage I guess.

hitch receiver --- yes the longer it sticks out.. the greater the leverage on the device / body -- could be a bad time.

you got me thinking and I purchased this one to try out. Most of the recoveries I do are people stuck in 4 like inches of snow.

I have both the bubba rope and soft shackles and love them both.

Soft shackles are cool, because you can bend, twist, etc... Into places a regular shackle can't fit through, and they are proven strong

I want to get a Bubba Rope or Yankum, but will have to save up for it. I have most everything else, tow rope, hitch with shackle, a soft shackle, three bow shackles, tree saver. Don't have a winch yet but when I get a metal bumper it will be on the list. Any small things I might need or nice to have?

Soft shackles are definitely good to have

A bunch of options here.

Gloves, shovel, a thick blanket to lay on the ground for train repairs, chunks of wood to help with lifting the vehicle, water, granola bars, extra socks, first aid kit all come to mind.
