It is not a RTT. It specifically designed to go on a trailer. There is a queen size mattress that sits on the top of the trailer, and has room for 4 more people. plus the awning area can be closed in to sleep an additional 4-5 people. It is pretty damn big. Shocked

It is the Ridgeline Zenith from Oztrail:

That's not a tent...It's a bloomin Road House!

Sorry Dave... I blame the lack of beer this weekend....

Will you have your trailer with your tent up at Off Camber? I've sent those tents online... would love to see one in person.

Unfortunately no. Sad They are still building it.

They are loaning me one of their demo units, that has the traditional style RTT from Tepui.

CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY!!!

I picked up the trailer today. Just in time for a trip that we leave on tomorrow.

They still need to get the graphics on, probably make a few adjustments after this trip, but it is mine, mine, MINE!!!

It's not a purple unicorn...

Details
Maker: Bivouac Camping Trailers (www.moabaz.com)
Length: 13'3" total / 8" box
Dry Weight: 2080 lbs / 260 lb tongue weight
Sleeping capacity: 6 to 10 depending upon configuration
main bed: 6" queen mattess
Electricity: 12V & 120V / 100 AH battery / Solar hook up
Water: 35 gallon tank / running water to galley sink & shower, w/heater
Cooking: 2 burner cook top plus grill that hangs on tail gate (all propane)
Storage: ~28 cubic feet

With no further ado, here she is:

Electrical power center, in the front box:

With the Tent & Kitchen opened up:

It has an awning that covers the full front, but I did not want to set that up in the street.

Tent goes up and down in less than 30 minutes. With practice, I am confident I can get that time to under 15 minutes.

Nice... How's the shower work, and does it have a toilet?

Holy cow! Nice place there. Now you need to get another FJ for your staff, then you can tell the butler that you "will be taking tea in the study today". Smile

The shower works great, and yes, we carry a PETT toilet with us. Smile

The trailer worked great on our trip this past weekend. There are a couple small things that need adjusting, but the trailer towed behind the FJ perfectly, and handled extremely well on the trails. I was a little worried that the extra length might cause some challenges, but no issues so far. The one thing we need to do is move the license plate from under the corner and up to the spare tire mount.

I timed myself, and I can have the the tent set up in about 10 minutes (15 if I need to hook up guy lines). Taking it down and packing back up takes about 5 minutes longer. I did not set up the awning since we were moving to a different campsite each night, but I estimate that might add 5-10 minutes to the set up / take down time.

Overall, I am very please with the trailer. Now I need to go do more camping. Very Happy

Well, the beast has finally gone solar. I used CeeFish's idea and picked up a couple deck seals to route the wires. I must say those are a real slick set up. I am very happy with that choice. Thanks Mark. Wink

While I was at it, I modified my rack to make it more low profile. I cut about 2 inches out of the height. and then welded everything back up. Sent it to Xpress Metal Stripping to have the paint & powder coating stripped off (they did a great job), and then repainted it with bed liner.

Here is the latest revision for your viewing pleasure:

While I was at it, I also swapped out my rear light. The new one is a dual color (amber/white) LED bar. So now I do not have to mess with any covers. it has 2 switches and I simply flip the appropriate switch to get either white or amber light. It is a spot/flood combo and lights up behind the rig quite nicely.
