Now, get it out there and WHEEL IT! Might be a pic deception, but, according to her paint, Not much wheelin goin on..... looks, looks looks. Performance is the KEY word!!!

That is my old FJ trust me it has been wheeled. Very Happy And I am glad the new owner wheels it too. The dealer did cover up all of the pin striping that I did and I think Dave has added more.

Dave are those the same tires that came with the FJ? If so they have amazing tread life because when I got rid if it they had over 45K on them. I did do a 5 tire rotation every 5K miles.

Not the same. I replaced the old ones a couple of months ago. I think they had around 60k miles when I replaced them.

That's pretty good for a mud tire. Hankook for the win Smile

Well, the next phase of evolution for the beast started this week. After much thought and debate, I finally made my selections. As soon as the parts come in we will be completing the armor, increasing night time visibility, updating the suspension, & making sure I can get out of any sticky spots. Cool

I would like to thank glideraz for all his patience and assistance with the suspension decisions. Plus he was able to get me a smokin' deal on the parts.
Brian, you da man!!! Wink

The credit card heated up with all the orders that were placed this week. Hopefully all the parts will be arriving over the next 2 weeks, so I can get it all installed before the Memorial weekend trip.

Well, with no further ado, here is what I have coming in...
    Armor & Vision
-Ricochet aluminum skid plates (went aluminum to save some weight)
-22" LED light bar for the bumper
-A pair of 6" LED lights for reverse
Suspension (decided to go full out, just short of long travel)
-Radflo Ultimate Performance System (Front & Rear)
    -TotalChaos Front Upper Control Arm
    -MetalTech Rear Offset Lower Links
    -MetalTech Rear Upper Links
    -Icon Adjustable track bar
    Recovery
-Engo 10,000 lb winch w/synthetic line
    -wireless winch remote

I will post more as the parts come in and get installed.

Feedback, questions & comments from the peanut gallery are welcomed and encouraged. Very Happy

Yes, because your spotting instructions were so terrible.

Next time don't give me logical instructions that make sense, and I won't ignore you. Razz

Some of you have heard me talk about my trailer that is being built. Well , it is not a myth, it is real, and I have photos to prove it. It took a lot longer than it should have to get the chassis built and delivered from their fabricator, but it finally arrived week before last. So far the chassis has been completed, the rear galley has been installed, and the tent was mounted just this week.

The tent caused a bit of a hold up because it is designed to be mounted on a military type trailer, so it lifts from one side to get at the cargo. The problem is that this trailer has doors on the sides and a galley in the rear that the lifting struts would interfere with. In the end we decided that we were over complicating things with trying to make the lifting functional. The fact is that with the side doors, we have no need for the tent platform to lift. Therefore, we decided to permanently mount the platform to the trailer box.

There is still quite a lot to do before it is finished, but here are some preliminary photos:

It's Dave, not Mikey. Smile

It is not a RTT. It specifically designed to go on a trailer. There is a queen size mattress that sits on the top of the trailer, and has room for 4 more people. plus the awning area can be closed in to sleep an additional 4-5 people. It is pretty damn big. Shocked

It is the Ridgeline Zenith from Oztrail:

I could see how we would be confused - there is only like a 1' height difference between us Smile

congrats on the new toy Dave!
