I have been going to the Glamis sand dunes for 30 years, about 14 years ago the Sierra Club decided that people should not be able to ride out there so they said a plant was being killed off. They got a lot of the area closed due to the plant in question. So the American Sand Association which I am a member got our "blank" together and fought back! After 14 years of fighting and spending lots of money we finally won! What's funny is that it was proven that the area plants are doing better due to the vehicles spreading the seeds around. Any way the point is we have to fight back and be organized to keep our riding areas open! Join Blue Ribbon they also do lots of work keeping trails open.
