Glad I found this thread.

I was moments away from dropping my rig off at Bell Toyota for some 100k preventative maintenance, but I think I'll give Camelback a call instead.

Thanks for saving me a potential headache.

Picked my FJ up from Camelback service dept yesterday afternoon, and thought I'd report back on my experience there.

Let me start by saying that I've always been one of those guys who walks into 'stealerships' with one eyebrow raised. You give them your list of maintenance items, leave the vehicle for X amount of days, then prepare yourself to pay out the wazoo for work that may or may not have been completed correctly (if at all).

I'm happy to say that Eric, Todd, and the rest of the crew at Camelback have changed my way of thinking.

My list of 100k maintenance items was completed quickly, thoroughly, and at a mind-blowingly reasonable price. The staff was helpful, friendly, and super accommodating.

Really can't speak highly enough about this place, and I'll absolutely be heading back for any work that can't be knocked out in my own garage.

Bottom line: I'd have precisely zero hesitation referring a friend, loved one, forum member (or non-member) to them for service.

I went in the other day with my battery light on and they did a 27 point inspection and found quite a bit of shit wrong with my FJ. Sad And they washed it and that made the weather stripping on the rear windows come apart. Sad Sad

They wanted like $400 in labor for a new alternator, so I just bought the part and made an appointment for Toyoworks to install it for $150 instead. I should probably do it myself but I don't have time for that right now, since I'd have to learn.

There was an office with some FJ Summit 8 plaques on the wall, but nobody was there.

Bell Toyota has been good to us too, though we've only really brought the 4runner there.

I should have. Instead it crapped out on me while in Mesa.

On the bright side, now I'll be saving $150 because my bf is going to change it for me since it won't start and I don't want to pay another tow truck to haul it.
