"The Force is strong with this one"
R2 came home October 20th, 2007, already broken in with 19K miles, loaded with the Convenience Package and Upgrade Package #2, including A-Trac and Rear Diff Locker. I only have one crappy pic, but hey, we all know what a stock FJ looks like.
Only 2 weeks in our possession we headed out to Box Canyon with the AZFJ and Copper State Cruisers to see what this baby could do!
So one of the first things we did was install a CB radio. We went with the Cobra 75XWST with Bandi mount and 4' Firestik, spring, and quick release. We ran the wire internally through the side panels and across to the center console where it is mounted.
Our next set of goodies came in the form of these custom billeted shift knobs
Our Thanksgiving weekend project included the installation of the Springtail MPAC on the rear door, which is now loaded with our Disaster/First Aid supplies and recovery gear, along with mounting our LED MAG Light
Replaced the Bud Builts with full set Aluminum Rasta Skids, which included front, mid, transfer case, crossmember, and gas tank.
We also got this awesome custom battery tie-down made by Ellis Precision
Our next project was installing the Allpro ultimate LCA+skid
New wheels and tires: American Racing Mojave 17x8 with Goodyear Wrangler MT/R 275/70R17
Allpro rock rails
48" Hi-Lift Jack X-Treme
Powertank 10lb and Fire Extinguisher with custom mount bracket made by Mr. R2FJ
AZFJ.ORG Sticker (+500 HP)
Cyclone Pre-Filter
Kenwood DNX 7100 w/ GARMIN GXM30 smart antenna Nav/Traffic/Weather/XM
Starting the new year off right with map lights!! By SwissArmySUV Products
New custom grip handles from Ellis Precision:
Along with the 07/08 FJ hybrid side visor mod!!
Scanuage II added to our maplights:
This is probably one of the best mods we have done yet...upgrade to LED door lights:
Here is a pic of the difference in light output...LED in front, old school in back:
We added the Garmin Rino 530hcx windshield mount to track all the trails we run, and do a little Geocaching when we can:
I finally won my battle with the Lifehammer mount!
No need for introductions....Bow chicka bow-wow....chicka bow-wow!
As you have all seen by the drama of our install, here is our new suspension installed correctly! FOX Racing Shox 2.0" Adjustable Front coil-overs, and Fox rear piggy-back, including Camburg UCA's and replacement with steel break lines.
My latest project was creating some rear storage for us, so I built this shelf and coated it with the Duplicolor Roll-On Bed Liner from Auto Zone.
And recently added slide out shelf!
After our Coleman Powerchill zapped out on its second voyage, we returned it and decided to just put the money down on an Engel 45.
We went with the RAM no-drill mount for the FJ.
Road Armor Titan Bumper, with Warn M8000 winch, Viking Offroad Whichline synthetic line, and PIAA 510 Ion fog lights:
Here is R2 today
We have many other projects on our list so I hope to be updating this thread often!

Yes, it's a much beefier LCA than stock. Most people just go with the LCA skids, but the LCAs themselves can take quite a pounding as well. It's just a real vulnerable area. I know Mike has hit his several times. Although the stock ones don't fail with light contact, it seemed like a good place to beef up on and they were on sale with ALLPRO. Here's a great thread on install and somewhat of a comparison.

Mike: you need these tires, they rock!

Honestly, I'm flattered that you included it in your build-up thread. The Cali guys have some cool regional stickers, too!
