Alrighty then. Let's go do a snow run!!
We'll be heading out to see how much snow fell in the San Carlos Rez off of the 60 hwy Northeast of Globe, AZ.
This will be on Sunday Feb 24.
We will do this as early as possible.

[b] DEPARTURE TIME WILL BE 7:30am from the Chevron at Goldfield and the 60 Freeway. Chevron is just south of the 60. We will be there just a touch after 7 am awaiting anyone who will be joining us.

This run will require us to stop in Globe and get a San Carlos recreation permit for $10 each. We will gas up and head out.

For this run we ask that:
1. you please have all your own recovery gear
2. Be prepared to use said recovery gear
3. Be ready to help out others that need recovery.
4. Dress warm
5. Bring plenty of food and water it could end up being a long day.
6. Be ready for fun!

On the last snow run we participated in we had about 12 assisted recoveries and about the same amount of self recoveries.
The snow is slick and it's quite easy to get stuck or slide off the trail and become stuck requiring assistance.
We will not really know trail conditions until we arrive. We plan on making the entire length of the trail, but be prepared for anything, like turning around and heading out same way we came in.
This oughta be fun!!
Who's in??

We'll be leaving early a.m. Sunday. Haven't picked a meet up spot yet, but pretty much every exit off of US 60 has a has station or good meet up spot right off of it that would do. Thinking no later than 7-7:30. That way we're in Globe by 8-8:30 and depart from there and be at air down by 9-9:30. Earlier the better. That trail is pretty long. It has zero to none obstacles, but should have plenty of snow on the ground. We're thinking like 2-3 ft on the ground (fingers crossed). Should be fun!

That area is getting hammered this morning. They shutdown the 60 hey up there. Should be a blast on Sunday!
