Don't Ditch The Hitch

It may just save your ass, literally, when you get rear ended.



Also, when the guy takes off just get the plate. A vehicle and driver description will definitely help too. The police, or in my case MCSO, will track them down and cite them. (saving you the gas Wink )

Definitely get the plate and the drivers description (police won't be able to cite someone if they don't know who was driving and I wouldn't rely on them getting a full confession). Pictures of the other vehicle would be really helpful as well. It's a misdemeanor to leave the scene (at fault or not) so as much "evidence" to support an arrest as you can get the better.

Glad you and the rig survived for another day

+1, I was lucky, it took a little bit for the guy to get around traffic before he could take off. I gave MCSO the plate, driver and vehicle description. They eventually found him and cited him.
