I have been running the SPC upper control arms for many years with no issues. I replaced the bushings a year or two ago and at the time the ball joint looked good. Fast forward and it seems the ball joint boot has ripped and dirt grime have worn away at the innards.
Time for a replacement.

It makes it seem like there is a special part required for the installation, that the ball joint for these is unique construction. It was always my understanding the balljoint used was a standard Toyota one with the addition of the adjustment plate.
