Plain and simple I received a recommendation from a shop for an Old Man Emu full (front and rear) suspension lift. Price quoted included front axle replacements which I have known I needed and verified through another source. The total would be about 1750 dollars for everything. Since I'm replacing the axles I was told I could save some on suspension install. Does 1750 sound good to you fellow non members. Thoughts on Old Man Emu (ARB).?

seems a bit high.. but I'm not sure on the pricing of the OME components to say by how much high.

figure ~80 for the front axle per side (dont forget to replace the seal as well) for the part (non oem) [both sides are the same part]

I think the labor books call for 2hrs for the axle replacement
and I'd say the book calls for 4 hrs for suspension.. so you might save an hr doing both at the same time.

i'd give Phoenix rack & axle a call... they can rebuild your axle to new for about $50 and then it comes with a lifetime warranty (labor out/in will be extra)

they can also do the suspension install no problem, very knowledgeable and offroad friendly there. if you call tell Richard the black lifted FJ owner sent ya.

@calichaos - Thank you very much for the information and links. It was really informative. I believe I remember you talking about Phoenix rack and axle. I will have to look into theml and see what they have to say. Thanks again.

Seems high
..
I install basic lifts like that for 300.00 plus another 200 for axles. Labor only.
My price on ome luft is about 800.00

So 1300.00 for labor and lift.
Another 200.00 for axles

1500.00

Sounds like you should use Glider, save 500 bucks and KNOW it will be done right.
I made an CV axle removal tool for him so he's expert at it.

I let Glider touch my stuff, sometimes we touch it together. Totally the best choice.
