WHAT

A Good Family Fun Day!

We had a great time on this run/event the last 2 years at Box Canyon and the AZ Renaissance Festival (Turkey Legs!)
www.royalfaires.com/arizona/

So thought it would be fun to do an AZFJ Ren Fest Day again!

Do an early Box Canyon Run in the morning and then go to Ren Fest around 10:30-11am on February 18th.

Start with Box Canyon from South to North (enter at Price Rd).
Then head out North via Mineral Moutain Mine road or Cottonwood Canyon and head back on the 60 to the Renaissance Festival

Info about the Trail:
Box Canyon (very easy, but fun and beautiful trail) is a signature trail, good trail for beginners and all.

Coming down the signature waterfall Obstacle in Box Canyon, we will go up it this time (easier than it looks)!

Renaissance Festival
Directions:

WHEN
Saturday, February 18th

MEETUP
Depart from Shell Station in Gold Canyon at 7:00am SHARP (off of RT 60 across from the Renaissance Fair).
www.google.com/maps/pr...d-111.4675

Go to airdown spot off of Price Road and then get on the trail around 7:45-8am.

I know it's a bit early, but we do want to get to the Ren Fest in the mid morning.

A fun run for veterans, a fun run for noobs who want to see what their truck can do!

You can do just Box Canyon, both Box and the Ren Fest, or just meet us for the Ren Fest. Whatever you want to do! Smile

In!

I have to strongly advise steering clear of the turkey legs though. Last year was a gastrodisaster the likes of which I will never forget. If you ignore this tip, for your own sake, be sure you know where the closest TWO restrooms are (because the closest one might have a line 20 people long to it, and that's not gonna fly).

Should be even more impressive this time around. That bad boy was practically brand new last year, wasn't it?

yep, since then, I have added 2 inches in height to the Tundra and 295/75 tires. I "should" make it up no problem.

If not, the Tundra will just eat the rocks and spit them out all minecrafty like.

This was before the lift.. Why, Because Its a Tundra!

Count me in, this will be my first run with the group. I can finely drive the FJ and not be scared of crashing now that I finely replaced my LCAs, shocks, hub bearing, and breaks. Looking forward to meeting new people.

Hi Tek,
Last year on this run I was all stock except for rock sliders and I don't remember touching them on a thing. Listen to your spotter and you'll be just fine. Do you have road tires or ATs?

stock road tires Bridgestone Dueler H/T 265/70R17. I do have rock sliders and a brush guard. Lift and KO2's are next on the list. . .
