What is the recommendation for FJ batteries these days?

Curious as to why you didn't go with the larger group 31 battery?

My "House" battery IS a Group 31.
The honest truth is there'd be no place to jam my extry Oil/PS fluid bottles if I got a bigger battery squeezed in there.

Here's my old Platinum (Now retired) in it's spot is that cheap "WonderJuice" battery plus Group 31 Lead acid battery. Holding up good though. Needed one quick in a hurry for our Lake Havasu trip and needed more money for fun than car parts. So it worked out.

I got one from Autozone a couple years ago, it's still working great.

So If I was to Pick up 2 of the Odyysea Batteries:
www.4wd.com/Jeep-Perfo...oC-PTw_wcB

And Install one in Stock Location and the other on this
www.shrockworks.com/Du...16275.html
I should be fine right? Both Group 34?

I've had the plate installed for over a year but no second battery. My Battery is about to shit on me. I know its coming. Rather get this fixed now as I bought a fridge as well. I also know I need to get some basic parts to connect the 2.

I would go group 31 for your 2nd with the most Amp hours you can afford. Make sure it's a marine/rv deep cycle, NOT a starting battery. I have one of those type 34's in my FJ, but I also have a DURACELL that I got for about $120 bucks from Batteries plus (Type 31, 105 aH) I can buy 3 of those for the price of one Oddessy deep cycle. So far it's working great!

Probably won't last as long, but again, 3 for the same price, I think I'll come out even.

Here's one in Tucson that once you put it in your engine bay, little men come out and cut a hole in your hood so other little men can come in and sack your motor.

I would like a 31 for a house battery but the nature of my battery tray and mounting locations for a 2012 limits me to a dual 34s. I'd rather spend the money and not have to worry about it. All major major mods have to be done on the FJ by August or put on hold for 4 years.

You will kill a starting battery if you try to run it as a deep cycle

Arent't the Odysea batteries deep cycle? I would be switching both starting and house batteries to the one linked above.

Change of plans. Duals not in the budget right now. Spending my money elsewhere. New question is what's the largest Odysea Deep cycle that can fit in the factory location (2012) and can someone post a link to it.

That would be the Odyssey 31M-PC2150.

you would have to buy another tray, drill some holes, bolt in the new tray and move around some other stuff. Then you could shove a type 31 on the passenger fender.

Not an option for me Jim. As stated above the largest second battery I can have is a group 34. My wiper fluid Is where your second battery sits and my tray is 34 specific. Don't have the money for that right now so then my question is what's the largest battery I can fit in the stock location. Looks like group 31 in the stock location is my answer

But since BucketBoy has a 2012 (I think that's a 12) it will have the larger airbox on that side. May or may not have the room.

Hence the whole "Move things around" comment.

That's why they call them "MODS". Battery tray you can change out easily. Airbox not so much.
