I smashed my skid plate into my transfer case, which put stress on the drive train and caused the rear-main-seal to leak. It stopped leaking fairly quickly though, so I'm not sure how much damage was really done.

On a slightly related note: Anyone know a good shop in Mesa that knows Toyotas, uses Amsoil, and can do a tranny flush?

Looks like about $900 worth... Oil was actually coming from the front. New water pump, crank seal and serpentine belt, plus other maintenance on just about the rest of the fluids, and a few other things put's it at around $1500.

I'm now looking at some frame reinforcements at the read link mounting points, motor mounts, and looking for suggestions on other spots that might need it. I also need a good welder.

regarding the engine mounts.. what are some symptoms of the engine mount failing / failed? excessive engine rocking? vibration under acceleration? other?

If you look at the second pic down in the first post, you can see that the plastic engine cover is slightly off level. I'm sure you can have cracks and it's still level, but my guess is that it's MORE likely to sit at an angle thanks to the fact that the engine tries to twist against resistance all the time.
