Here are my few pics from the day--
The view of Sycamore Canyon Wilderness area from the top of the switchbacks.
Terrain type for majority of the trail (plus some camera skew; it's not actually sideways).
The first stop - we're at a point where, from camera perspective, Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness is to the left and Sycamore is to the right. About halfway through the group there is a gap where you can see both sides - amazing spot! There were many more spots with similar views as we went on.
Obligatory rear-view mirror pic - Pitch right behind me and a tiny Jimbo tailgunning. Everyone else is in the gulch around the bend.
Lunchtime with everyone intently focused on info from Pitch. I'm sure they'd look happier if they knew they were posing for a picture. Surprise!
Near the end of the run, just off the Schnebly Hill "Hot Loop" trail right before sunset. Just about everyone had peeled off & headed home at this point. Except for airconditionednightmare who stuck with it til the end and Jimbo, who we had just watched coming up the hill headed to camp. We thought we were right at the spot where he'd be camping but it seems he found a more comfortable spot higher in the pines.
We finished the run close to an hour earlier than I had estimated (how does that happen, I'm never EARLY!?) so I didn't get to enjoy my lights on the trail much. Boy do they brighten up my garage though!
