Scouted on Tuesday. FR 300 not open yet.
Fish are confused, jumping like crazy out in the middle of lake from the massive stockings. Laughing
I did not have worms nor a bobber so I got skunked. Note the two baby blue herons on the rocks......

No worms? What about the fly rod or floating bait? Did you camp? I've got some new gear I can try out up there.

What lake is that?
I was up by the rim a couple weekends ago at chevelon. Talked to a ranger and he said there planning on opening the 300 by the 15th of this month.

It's most likely Woods Canyon Lake since the road is paved all the way to there, I don't think they close it.

That was Woods Canyon. It and Willow Springs have access roads open. Can't wait to get new camper up there in a few weeks.

No real plans. I'd like to spend some time at the spillway at Woods Canyon but definitely wanna wheel rim road to 89a on the way home.

Went up spur of the moment. $25 bucks in gas for this dinner well worth it! Very windy they were jumping like crazy. Resorted to powerbait. They were prettier before I cleaned them up. These are not Tigers.......

How bad ass is this! Catch $1000 tunas with no boat. Wonder if I can set up a mini version for trout. Talk about a long cast. Very Happy

^^^ That is awesome, even get to see the hit on your bait. You could try this at Woods Canyon but the eagles would probably attack the drone.
