Wow jimbo what a adventure. When we meet again ill bring you a new strap. It was nice seeing you today we were on our way back to senator highway we did everything in reverse today.

We need to do this again soon but when the wheather isnt so damn hot.
when it cools down some, I'm going to do a 2 day loop connecting the route I took today around the north end of west clear creek. May make it 3 days to keep on dirt all the way through rim lakes, young, 4 peaks as well. Smile

No need to give up your strap Brian. That one had its day. It saved sl33r and str8shooter and pulled my kids around.when their cars were broken. Pulled out countless desert broom in the backyard.

I have 2 straps still and should be ok. But thank you for the offer.

You can see most of the truck rescue photos on azfj face page.

Update: Rattlesnake Fire buring in Castle Creek Wilderness
The lightning-caused Rattlesnake Fire is 3200 acres burning approximately 5 miles west of Bumble Bee in the Castle Creek Wilderness (T10N, R1E, S24). There are no immediate structures, private property or critical infrastructure threatened by the Rattlesnake Fire. The fire is burning concurrently on both Forest Service lands and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands. The agencies are working together in responding to this fire. The Incident Commander and local officials have decided on a strategy that minimizes risk and maximizes tactical advantage, and likelihood of success for firefighters. Fire managers take into consideration many factors when deciding what actions to take in suppressing wildland fire with firefighter and public safety at the forefront. The factors considered in this decision include: current and expected location of the fire; the conditions of burnable vegetation; terrain; current and forecasted weather; and most importantly, the ability to extricate a p otentially injured firefighter from the terrain. These factors are considered and weighed against the threats from the fire and the potentially affected values. Firefighters are proactively preparing for burn-out operations on the rim above the fire to protect the Horsethief Basin should the fire establish and threaten that area. Firefighters are also assessing the east side of the fire along County Road 59 for burn-out and holding needs.

I took it home like this.

This is the little guy that broke. He said the ring and pinion were fine. It also tore up the axles. Ended up buy these gears, new axles and bearings.

My buddy pulled it apart. He said spider gears. I think they come in a set. The broken piece slips onto the axle.

It's part of the e-locker. Not spider gears per se.
