What a great little trip and Havisupi Point camp site was A W E S O M E
, the view literally takes your breath away. It was sunny and about 50ish in the day 29 deg at night. Got very windy ~ 30+ mph at times but pretty clear, no clouds or rain... and you could see for miles. FR328 was in good shape just kinda washboard'ed... there was one minor rut from a single vehicle track when the road was muddy. No one was manning the Reservation border gate coming or going. We did see an Indian Affairs Patrol Officer when we were driving on the rez but they were to "busy" to take the $25 fee at the time. Pasture Wah Road marked well and was badly rutted out with some spots tore up good (fun). I would definitely recommend high clearance vehicle although we did see a Subaru OutBack (props to the Subaru
) at the South Bass Trail Head. The road to Havisupi Point is very tight from thick trees and brush but the road is condition was good. We were the only people at the camp site and it was incredible.
