I bought my 2007 FJ in October 2013. I traded a 07 BMW 325i so it was a big change and I don't regret it. This is my first off-road vehicle so there was a lot to learn. I spent hours researching different mods and it took me a long time to actually do the first one. This site has been a great resource for me and I've learned so much.

Here are the mods that I've done so far.

The day I brought her home.

My first mod was to replace the factory radio with a Nav unit and backup camera.

Next came a Rough Country 3" lift/level and BFG KO AT 285/70R17.

I took the headliner down so I could add some wood to mount my Kenwood TM-281 and a Scan Gauge II.

Quick way to air up, but I have a Vair 400p for backup.

Added a TRD exhaust, aFe CAI, and Snorkel

Next came the armor. I decided to go with a full set of Ricochet skids to get the protection, but keep the weight down.

All-Pro sliders

Shelf/Table to organize the back of the FJ.

Lil' Red

Conway Freight dropped off this little item today. I can't wait to get it up on the trailer later this weekend.

Looking good.

You need to update your profile pic to match your new alias.

What glue did you use for the wood in your overhead console mod? I was thinking gorilla glue or construction adhesive...
Im gonna be putting a suburban console in mine.

I used Liquid Nail. Probably overkill, but it's not coming down.

Ed, who did the install on the rear reservoirs?

They should look more like this, keeps them away from the rear tires as the suspension cycles.

Get the Icon dust caps for the UCA uni-balls, they help keep the dust out...squeaks too....
Part #191011

Thanks Mark. I'll check into the dust covers.

Thanks. I went with the Grand Sabana. It's very roomy and comfortable.

Started building the lid for Lil' Red today. Started by welding 2" angle iron to the top of the trailer. This gives me a square platform to start from......well square enough. I'm a computer guy, not a metal fabricator.

Installed a Blue Sea System fuse panel. It was the one with 12 ports, but I cut the bus in two to allow 1 constant 12v supply and one switched 12v supply. I'm using a 80A relay to supply 12V from the battery, but switched from an add-a-circuit.
