We'll be there. It's the wife's birthday too. I'll have some Homebrew... Maybe... If it lasts that long.

40 miles? I'll be coming down from Prescott! Got you beat. But much more impressive than that, Tibaal89 will be in a Land Yacht.

Too True Jake. But without a rescue, where's the fun?

If you are at the meet up you can follow everyone in. Or you can look at post 1 page 1 of this thread for the location info.

A stock FJ should have no issue at all. Vehicles I can not vouch for that have or will make the attempt:
BMW GS600
Lexus GX470
Suburban 1500

I think if I air down I can float the Lexus over the sand. I'll have my strap just in case

a 4WD 3500 Ram came to bail out the tow truck that one time so I think anything with a motor and four round things that spin will be fine... don't anticipate problems in the Suburban, had no problems back in the day when the FJ was stock. It is some damn deep sand though! Keep on the gas, keep it moving.

GX470's are the exact same chassis as an FJ, with a couple of notable differences:
V8 4.7L engine
AWD
Center Diff Lock
Airbag Suspension.

A lot of people mod them up with Icons, bumpers, roof racks, etc. But this one, it's unmolested, save the AZFJ sticker.
