We know you are constantly upgrading your rig and your resource for off-road trail guides should be no different. It is time for some serious mods at Trails Offroad.

In talking with our community, we have quietly been working on major website modifications here at trailsoffroad.com. This isn't just a facelift project -- just like our rigs, it will be bigger, badder and more capable! We're swapping out the digital equivalent of the engine, drivelines, suspension, wheels, tires, the paint, and of course, the navigation system. Now just like every build project we've ever seen, we're not stopping and you will always see more modifications from us.

The brand-new build, known as V1, will be released in June….. it's not too late to join our growing community as a free beta tester today and get in now to be the first to jump in and test drive the new build. Join the community today!

Nows the time to subscribe to WWW.TRAILSOFFROAD.COM while it's free. That changes next month.

Here's my Chimney Rock trail. Had lots of fun with AZFJ people that day. It was a joint run Trails offroad/ AZFJ. All those non members are famous now.

There are other non-members of AZFJ that write for Trails offroad.
1louder, Seth Holist (Who's AZFJ delta kai name I can't remember)

There will be a big splash made up at the Overland Expo West this year. Come by, spend the $$ for a day pass in the cool pines, stop by and say hello.

Watch this at 8:33, then read the Trails Offroad guide and see if it could have helped.

This FJ on its head event happened at Waypoint 31.

even before I read the trail write up-- when I watched the video, and never before on that trail.. I knew the left side was the incorrect choice.

then I read this

31: Dangerous Rocky Hill Climb (16.9mi)

"Stay to the right side. Tire placement is very important. This is a rocky hill climb immediately across a small wash. If you have a locker, this might be the place to use it.

The line to take is to the far right - Then up to the left after climbing the initial 20'. This is a challenging obstacle/hill climb and if you try to go up the left side at the beginning, you cross a very deep wash crossing and the rollover danger is very real. If you are unsure of how to tackle this, ask for a spotter to guide you."

so yes IF someone had read that to it's entirety it could have been helpful.

One small note however.. why not pagemarks / jumps at the top of the the trail write up that could call out helpful tibits like this? who really is gonna read three pages of trail writeup top to bottom - very few people.

You can click on the map on each numbered waypoint to jump down to it like a page mark. But what you suggest, is a very good idea. Charouleau Gap has so much though, It would be tough to put it all in one paragraph. But I did mention the notable obstacles in the highlights.

One of the plans is to have the ability to package the trail up into a .pdf for offline use out on the trail.

Plus there is an app in the works. Haven't seen it yet so really can't comment. Feedback is always welcomed though.
