Tough enough when it's dry. You went from the Lago del Oro side then? or the Oracle side?

Looks like a lot of slippery wet fun!

I am a newb to all this.....it was fun and also a big learning experience for me. I used the locker big time on the way out. I hardly even used A track on the way in. In the first obstacle on the way in I used the locker and went past in my opinion a pretty hard spot. Had tire smoke, tossing rocks and really rutted. Just picked a line with the help of my experienced passenger and we went right up a pretty hard spot. When I got to the top they were amazed I made it look so easy......beginners luck and experience riding shot gun helped for sure!!

Oracle side....which I understand is the easy side....!!!!!! From the talk today I Think I will need my lift and tires to make the entire run or come in from the "other" side.

We did this trail on Saturday (late after trying to get some sleep form Chiva Falls the night before).

This was probably my favorite trail I have ever done. A great combination of technical + beautiful.

There was a nice of combination of rock crawling, obstacles, climbs, water traversing.

at one point, my tire stem rubbed and snapped off and we had to change the tire on the trail.

The Gliders got real tippy in a rutty climb and jake had to sit on the front bumper to stabalize.

I also chose our lunch spot, by getting stuck on a boulder in the stream Smile

Trailbus led and the Gliders, Finn and me ran as well.

Jake in the water

Hi Josh!

I clicked the link and it brought me to the slideshow with no issues.
I also added another link that goes direct to the album.

Charlou Gap Run, August 4th, 2013:
    Trailbus1
    Tibaal89
    ZZMikey
    Jimbolio
    BigLou
    RC_Maniac
    str8shooter
    Ratfink

Much different View when green from Monsoons:

The moab area

The 'Un-Survivable' obstacle

The actual "GAP" saddle

The "Carwash"

The 'Bumper Eater'

The 'Crack'

The 'Alternate Crack'

The'Escalator'

Inclinometer!

The COMPLEAT - Slideshow

I'm kind of glad I bowed out of this after the Night run last time. I was exhausted when I got to the end of this trail.

Here's the skinny -
Catalina to Gap - good rock climbs but doable in stock. From Geographic Gap, down to Oracle, that's where the hard stuff is.

Had to use my Rear Locker 5 times! most ever on ANY trail.
Lost my bumper wing. 3 strap recoveries (One of which was ME). Very intense trail. Not recommended for stock ride height unless you can handle the undercarriage pounding. (BigLou did it).
1,000 times more fun with a stick.

Glad to see mother nature reclaiming the trail.

Looked like a fun day.
