FYI, I haven't found this trail to be all that difficult but I did break my passenger mirror plastic on a tree one time.

So a few weeks ago we went up this route. I think due to the fires the roads been cleared out and stock trucks were going to the peak. I told my friend to park her new to her stock 2016 4Runner as we went to the peak due to the rock pile that was a challenge to get up and over. Going up I'm like WTF where did it go. On the way back down there was a huge pickup load of boulders off to the side of the road. Looks like any stock (read no lift and stock tires) 4x4 can get up there now.... How sad, no more of a challenge! But I understand the need due to the fires that were up there this summer.

Done. At least now I have found some pics to show my wife what it used to look like and why I was like WTF when seeing these stock vehicles come back down.

I'm gonna head back up there and take a look at what they did. Could be that nature will return it to it's former state

I do hope it does return to it's former glory! But for the time being it helps my friend not have to get a lift right away on her new 4Runner for when we go camping this "cool" season coming up. I'm sure after next years start of the monsoon season it will start eroding away again. I always wonder how funky it's gonna be after some massive rains!

Wish I would have taken pics when I went up there, but didn't really have the time to that day.

I'll post up a run when I'm going up there if anyone wants to come.
